‘The Star Is Reborn!’ Zakes Bantwini to close off a huge 2023 with his new album!

Grammy-winning musician and producer, Zakes Bantwini is ready to end the year on a high after announcing that his newest studio album will be released on the 8th of December 2023. Titled The Star Is Reborn, the album will be released just in time for what is promising to be an exciting summer for South African house music.

2023 has been another unforgettable year for the 43-year-old superstar. Already on a high from the success of 2021’s Ghetto King which still has South Africans dancing, Zakes Bantwini reached a massive personal milestone when he was nominated and then eventually won a Grammy Award for his hit single, Bayethe with Wouter Kellerman and Nomcebo Zikode.

And now, with what promises to be a victory lap of an album, Zakes Bantwini (real name, Zakhele Madida) is ready to continue telling his story through music. The Star Is Reborn will show off how much the beloved producer has grown his sonic palette since his wildly successful Ghetto King.
