Strictly Soul, the esteemed and award-winning hub of Africa’s R&B culture, continues its tradition of delivering unforgettable experiences with its upcoming Live event. Attendees are invited to immerse themselves in an evening of soulful melodies by the gorgeous and talented Filah Lah Lah. This event will be an exquisite dinner setup, which will take place at Villa Simonne (16 West Street, Houghton) on April 26th from 19:00 to 22:30.

More than just an event, Strictly Soul is a celebration of the very essence of R&B. Crafted by the internationally renowned Akio Kawahito and hosted by the enchanting Anita Makgetla, Strictly Soul goes beyond boundaries, bringing together soul music enthusiasts from all corners of Africa.

From timeless classics to contemporary hits, the event offers diverse interpretations of the genre, creating an atmosphere that resonates with music lovers of every persuasion. Supported by Heineken, Strictly Soul embodies a vibrant movement dedicated to not only highlighting the essence of R&B music but also giving upcoming artists a platform to share their talent with the masses.

Born Reabetswe Fila Ranamane, Filah Lah Lah epitomises the essence of soulful music with her mesmerising voice and lyrics that resonate with emotion and depth. Her journey into music, influenced by her late father’s musical sensibilities, is a testament to her passion and commitment to the craft. Since releasing her debut single ‘Feels Like’ in late 2019, a tribute to the jazz greats that shaped her musical upbringing, Filah Lah Lah has continued to captivate audiences with her unique take on R&B infused with pop elements.

With excitement mounting for her upcoming project, “On Air,” Filah Lah Lah extends a warm invitation to her supporters to join her for a captivating performance at the next Strictly Soul Live event. Anticipate the release of “On Air” as an audio album this April, followed by a visual album in May.
