1 baguette/French loaf100g butter, softened1 Tbsp Hinds Spices Aromatic Garlic & Herb2 Tbsp parsley, chopped.2 tsp Hinds Spices Crushed Chilies2 cloves garlic peeled and crushedCut the bread into diagonal slices, not cutting the whole way through.Mix the butter, Hinds Spices Aromatic Garlic & Herb, chopped parsley, Hinds Spices Crushed Chilies and crushed garlic.Spread the herbed butter into the slices and wrap the loaf in a double layer of heavy-duty foil.Place the garlic loaf onto the hot coals and braai for 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. 

2. Cheese and Chakalaka Beef Burgers

4 beef burger patties1 Tbsp Hinds Spices the Braai Spice4 slices of cheddar cheese4 burger buns100ml mayonnaise4 lettuce leaves4 Rhodes Quality Whole Dill Gherkins, sliced1 x 400g can Rhodes Quality Chakalaka Coat the burger patties in Hinds Spices The Braai Spice, braai over medium-hot coals for 7 – 10 minutes. Just before removing from the heat, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each burger patty and continue braaiing for 2 minutes.Slice the buns in half, spread mayonnaise on the base of each bun, top with lettuce, a cheese patty, slices of Rhodes Quality Whole Dill Gherkins and finally, Rhodes Quality Chakalaka.

1 whole chicken2 Tbsp olive oil1 Tbsp Shisanyama spice1 Tbsp Hinds Spices Chicken Spice1 Zest of lemon1 small red cabbage, shredded4 Rhodes Quality Dill Whole Gherkins, sliced½ x can Rhodes Quality Whole Kernel Corn in Brine¼ cup chopped fresh coriander1 Juice of lime6 pita breads, toasted1 x 400g can Rhodes Quality Chakalaka Mild & SpicyRemove the breastbone from the chicken and flatten.Cover in olive oil and rub over the Shisanyama spice and Hinds Spices Chicken Spice and top with lemon zest. Braai for 45 minutes over a medium-heat fire.Mix the cabbage, Rhodes Quality Whole Dill Gherkins sliced, Rhodes Quality Whole Kernel Corn in Brine and coriander, squeeze over lime juice and set aside.Portion the braaied chicken, and serve with the fresh slaw, toasted pitas and Rhodes Quality Chakalaka Mild & Spicy

100ml double thick Greek yoghurt2 garlic cloves, peeled and grated1 Tbsp chopped fresh mint1 Tbsp Hinds Spices The Braai Spice8 lamb rib chops12 porta bellini mushrooms8 cherry tomatoes4 rosemary sprigs1 Tbsp olive oil2 tsp Hinds Spices Mixed HerbsSalt for seasoning1 x 400g can Rhodes Quality Whole Kernel Corn in Brine2 cups cooked brown basmati rice1 x 400g can Rhodes Quality Butter Beans in Brine¼ cup chopped fresh coriander2 tsp Hinds Spices Crushed Chilies1 Tbsp Hinds Spices Spice for RiceJuice of 1 lemonMix the yoghurt, garlic cloves, mint and Hinds Spices The Braai Spice, rub all over the lamb chops. Marinade for an hour.Skewer the mushrooms and tomatoes onto the sprigs of rosemary and drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs and season with salt.In a mixing bowl, mix the Rhodes Quality Whole Kernel Corn in Brine, rice, Rhodes Quality Butter Beans in Brine, chopped coriander, Hinds Spices Crushed Chilies and Hinds Spices Spice for Rice. Pour over the lemon juice and set aside.Braai the lamb chops and skewers for 15 minutes over medium-hot coals, turning regularly.Serve with the rice salad.
