Lady Zamar to light up Totalsports Women’s Race in 2025

South African songstress Lady Zamar is set to ignite the stage at all three iconic Totalsports Women’s Race events in 2025 – Durban (Sunday, 03 August), Cape Town (Saturday, 09 August), and Johannesburg (Sunday, 17 August)

Renowned for her soulful voice and empowering lyrics, Lady Zamar will join thousands of women as they run, walk and celebrate sisterhood in support of PinkDrive and the ongoing fight against breast cancer.

“The Totalsports Women’s Race is a great initiative for Women’s Month,” says Lady Zamar. “These events promote wellness and mental strength through exercise, and the fact that they take place in multiple cities makes them truly special. As a woman who stands with and supports other women, I feel deeply honoured to be part of such a prestigious celebration.

My music has helped me make sense of life and navigate relationships. Sharing those insights through my performances is a privilege I don’t take for granted. I’m absolutely thrilled to be visiting all three beautiful cities with the Totalsports Women’s Race, in honour of women.”

Lady Zamar’s presence promises to amplify the energy of each event, uniting music, movement and meaning in honour of South African women.

“I can’t wait to meet the thousands of women in each city – and, of course, to dress up,” admits the celebrated singer-songwriter. “Totalsports Women’s Race entrants and supporters can expect pitch-perfect vocals and an energetic, heartfelt performance. I always bring great energy to the stage, and performing for women makes it even more meaningful.”

In closing she shares the following message with entrants, “It takes determination and endurance to run and care for your health. Your example inspires other women facing life’s challenges. You encourage them to keep moving forward, no matter what. You are a true inspiration.”

“We are excited to welcome Lady Zamar to the 2025 Totalsports Women’s Race,” says Nikki Crous, Head of Marketing at Totalsports. “Her music, energy and powerful presence are truly inspiring. For the first time since the race’s inception, one artist will perform at all three events – a special way for us to unify the experience across Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. We look forward to an energetic and uplifting performance that will help create an unforgettable race day atmosphere in each city.”
