Get to know Jabu Zwane – Mindset Expert, Motivational Speaker & Life Coach
It is not everyday that you hear success stories where you can easily relate to the struggles. Young people today are looking for solutions or an idea of how to tap the growing crisis of unemployment and lack of funding and resources. Jabu Zwane’s life story is an indication that no idea is a bad idea, all we need is the basics and know how to skills and the sky is no limit.
Jabu Zwane is a mindset expert, motivational speaker and life coach. 2 minutes in a room with this guy, you will feel rejuvenated, energised with a sense of purpose in life. He is well spoken, highly articulate, he has such a beautiful mind which makes his mindset development skills worldclass. He is invited to tour the US in July to continue the work he is doing in South Africa and inspire others about how to master the art of a healthy mindset.
Mr Zwane joined the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa, mid 2019, now he is the Vice-president. He had no experience or training prior to this, just raw talent.
He went to the US for a coaching course only to be stuck there for 8 months during COVID 19. He got small jobs through a friend cutting grass, cleaning houses and being a driver. I built my one presence whilst in the USA. Then came back to a solid base for my work as Mindset Development Specialist.
He was born in the Free State. He Grew up with his grandfather who taught him survival skills, no parents and a few cousins in one household. Jabu finished matric and moved to Joburg only to be homeless for 4 months living in abandoned factories in Marlboro outside of Alexandra. He worked as a cleaner then a street vendor selling bolting. Then as a waiter for a year then became restaurant manager at 21.
Like most South Africans who lost jobs in 2019, Jabu lost most of his assets and almost lost his house leaving his wife and kids homeless so he had to fight during lockdown and provide for his family and think of new and innovative ways to support his family. He then learnt about Professional speaking and training. After taking a course and learning about the industry he started the Mindset Development Institute writing courses in Leadership.
Today, Jabu Zwane is a profound business man running his own organisation, mentoring and coaching renowned business men, sportsmen, politicians, philanthropists.
He also trains a large group of people in professional speaking, he runs workshops and seminars in malls and business parks showing people the art of a healthy mindset and mindset Transformation Coaching (MTC) which is the scientific process of transforming individuals’ mindsets through a coaching that empowers them to achieve their desired goals long term.
We focus on creating mindsets, traits, behaviours, abilities vital to achieve goals. He delivers highly effective and interactive facilitation and training based on the ground-breaking Mindset Development Framework.
The most common feedback about his sessions is that they are interactive, profound and transforming.
Mr Zwane has developed over 30 mindset models for critical thinking in Personal development, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Diversity Inclusion, Effective Communication, and High Performance, since 2019.
He is the executive Director and Board member at Square Feet South Africa, a multi-platform property tech company.
He facilitated various workshops for over 25 companies in over 10 countries, and 3 continents, including multi-nationals and institutions of higher learning.
He is a leadership Development facilitator at Sewells MSX International for VW South Africa, Motus Finance, McCarthy Group, and Super group and a facilitator for Effective Communication and Emotional Intelligence at BMW Group South Africa since 2021.
