Inaugural #MadeinJozi Youth Summit focuses on skills and opportunity
Young Joburg residents are invited to ignite their passion and gain valuable skills at the inaugural #MadeInJozi Youth Summit. This free event takes place on Saturday, 8 June, from 9am to 3pm at the Brixton Multipurpose Centre.
The summit will tackle critical issues faced by young people, such as unemployment, while simultaneously showcasing the wealth of opportunities available within Johannesburg.
Attendees will have the chance to network with young entrepreneurs, established business leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, creative minds, and City officials, fostering collaboration and civic engagement.
The day will be jampacked with inspiring keynote addresses and insightful panel discussions led by renowned industry experts. Topics will focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social impact, providing valuable knowledge for Joburg’s future leaders.
“The #MadeinJozi Youth Summit coincides with South Africa’s Youth Month,” says Siphokazi Duma, Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the City. “We aim to empower young people to achieve success and contribute meaningfully to Joburg’s future. Join us as we celebrate the power and potential of Joburg’s youth.”
Registration is free and available online through the City’s social media platforms and website. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
