Ushuni Womhlaba Heats Up: Top 20 Contestants Revealed

After weeks of rigorous selection process for the contestants who will make it to the bootcamp in Johannesburg, in last night’s episode; the Top 20 was revealed.

This follows four regional and online auditions held throughout the country in search for a contestant that will take the number one spot on the first edition of uShunu Womhlaba.

The intense selection process meant that the judges had to critically evaluate each performance and make the final selection.

The contestants that made it to the Top 20 will now make their way to the highly anticipated bootcamp where they will receive music masterclasses and compete for R50 000 and a recording deal with Gallo Music. Here, they will enhance their skills and vie for the title in this exciting musical journey.

“It was an intense selection process that got all judges involved. We had to make sure that the judges watch all regional and online auditions and personally I am glad that they managed to do that. Now we are getting into the critical stages and we wish all those who made it to the Top 20 all the best,” Thabo Mphelo, CEO of Thabo Mphelo Films and Executive Director of Ushuni Womhlaba.
