Pretoria is set to come alive on Saturday, 14 June 2025, as the iconic Capital Craft Beer Festival celebrates its 12th anniversary at the stunning Pretoria National Botanical Gardens. Known as South Africa’s largest one-day craft beer festival, and one of the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere – this event is a true celebration of craft, culture, and community.
Since its debut in 2013, Capital Craft has grown exponentially, attracting over 12,000 festival-goers eager to sample beers from more than 40 breweries worldwide. This year, attendees can expect to explore over 200 carefully curated brews, from innovative small-batch experiments to beloved classics, all served in an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and camaraderie.
But the festival is so much more than just great beer. It’s a full-day sensory adventure with something for everyone: mouthwatering dishes from over 35 food stalls, live brewing demonstrations, blind tastings, beer bingo games, and good vibes to keep the day flowing and beers pouring. Plus, the stage will be set for unforgettable performances by South African music legends such as Schalk Bezuidenhout, Mango Groove, and Francois van Coke.
Adding to the buzz this year is the participation of Springbok rugby star Steven Kitshoff, who joins the event with his own Bomb Squad Brew, bringing a fresh spirit and passion to the festival.
