Interview with Maria Comdrink, Administrator Sport GSAPD
We had the pleasure of interviewing Maria Combrink, Administrator Sport GSAPD, following her involvement in the Betway Women in Sports Media Breakfast panel discussion.
Combrink discussed the present status of women’s sports in South Africa as well as the challenges that athletes with disabilities face. Combrink emphasized the importance of inclusion and accessibility in sports, stating that sports have the power to break down barriers and unify people from varied backgrounds.
She also emphasized the importance of raising consciousness and providing support for athletes with disabilities, who frequently encounter significant obstacles in their pursuit of athletic excellence.
