New turbo charged series for local motorsport fans, ‘Volspoed’ on Showmax
Showmax has just dropped a reality series called Volspoed, a turbo-charged reality series that pulls viewers straight into the high-adrenaline course of endurance racer Antonie Marx and his wife, Ronette Marx, a former Miss South Africa finalist and the steady hand on the home pit.
“Volspoed captures South African motorsport at its most authentic,” says creator and executive producer Carl Martin. “It is fast, fearless and full of heart but at its core, it is a story about a family chasing excellence together, no

On the track, Antonie chases fractions of a second at speeds topping 200 km per hour. Off it, the Marx family faces a far tougher circuit: ambition, sacrifice and the emotional highs and lows of living at full throttle.

The spotlight shifts in Episode 7 as Antonie and Ronette Marx step into each other’s worlds in a

Airing tonight on DSTV Channel 103, the episode captures Ronette taking centre stage as she walks for
renowned designer Hangwani Nengovhela ’s – RUBICON Collection at South African Fashion Week. In
addition to her runway appearance, Ronette celebrates the launch of her new aesthetic clinic AGE
ZERO in Bryanston- Sandton, a significant milestone in her growing career.
Meanwhile, Antonie faces high-stakes pressure at Kyalami Race Track during qualifying. A race delay keeps him from attending Ronette’s major moment, and tensions rise on camera as the competitive environment takes its toll on him and his team.
