Stars Step Out in Style for South African Screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2
The Official South African Special Screening of 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2 took place last night, 28 April, at Ster-Kinekor, Eastgate Shopping Centre. Invited media, stakeholders, fashion industry powerhouses, local influencers and celebrities gathered to mark the return of the cultural phenomenon, two decades after The Devil Wears Prada first captivated audiences.
Over five-hundred guests were welcomed to an evening of high-fashion moments, headlined by a live runway experience open to all attendees, transforming the screening into a true celebration of style. Guests arrived Runway Ready, embracing bold, fashion-forward looks inspired by the world of Runway Magazine, while Pamela Mtanga hosted live moments from the iconic life-size red stiletto, drawing guests into their own iconic style moments as they made their entrance. The red shoe, a signature installation from the film’s global press tour, served as a standout focal point for the evening. The event was held in proud association with Vodacom, Samsung, Mercedes‑Benz and The Fix and, underscoring the seamless intersection of fashion, film and culture.






Samsung and Vodacom celebrated their brand-new retail offering for Vodacom subscribers of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, whilst Mercedes-Benz showcased the soon-to-be-released Maybach model fit for a VIP and The Fix brought their exclusive The Devil Wears Prada 2 capsule collection to life for guests at the event
Also in attendance were some of South Africa’s most prominent influencers and celebrities, including Bonang Matheba, Pamela Mtanga, Pabi Moloi, Thulane Hadebe, Loot Love, Ayanda MVP, Sphokuhle Ntshalintshali, Vele Mkhabela, Nefisa Mkhabela, Nomalanga Shozi, Zozibini Tunzi, Thebe Magugu and Neo Ndemande, Chanley Wong alongside leading voices from the local fashion industry such as Craig Jacobs and Ephraim Molingoana, further reinforcing the film’s enduring influence on style, culture and creative expression.
Twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reunite for the long-awaited sequel, returning audiences to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine.
